Mrs. Wooten Harkins Obituary (1939

Jean Wooten Harkins, 74, passed away, on Friday, July 26, 2013 at OCH Regional Medical Center, in Starkville, MS. Jean was born July 11, 1939 in Mathiston, Mississippi to the late Alma Frances Wright and Walter S. Wooten. She was a Homemaker and was a member of Pheba Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and working in her yard. She was married to William Robert Harkins on April 27, 1957, Pheba, he preceded her in death in 1998. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 30, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Brother Scott Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in Pheba Cemetery Pheba, MS. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include her daughter, Shelby Dinese Wilson of Mascoutah, IL; two grandchildren; Mallory Wilson, Marissa Wilson; and Teeny Bigham of Pheba. Preceding her in death were two sons, Jerry Wayne Harkins, Robert Paul Harkins, two brothers Grady Wooten, Harvey Wooten, and one sister, Dorothy May. Pallbearers will be Samuel Bigham, Nicholas Bigham, Jason Bigham, Billy Wayne Mitchell, Joby Washington, and Robert Washington. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bob Bates, Ruble Alford, and all her church family at Pheba Baptist. Memorials may be made to Pheba Cemetery Fund, Post Office Box 5, Pheba, MS 39755 . Visitation will be Monday, 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home.
