William, (57) passed away on November 6, 2022. He was an avid motorcyclist, active member of the VFW, proud U.S. Army veteran, a loving father, son, brother, and friend. He worked as the kitchen supervisor at the McConnell Unit for TDCJ. He attended the Cadiz Baptist Church where he was saved and learned the greatest love for God. William was born on October 8, 1965 in Ohio to his parents William Robert Gobel and Katherine Browning Foster. William was predeceased by his father, William Gobel, mother, Katherine Foster, aunt Patty. He is survived by his sister Charlotte (Christopher) Meurin, sister Vickie (Vince) Rager, sister Pamela Osborne, one son, William Raymond Gobel Jr, three daughters, Brianna (Robert) Hernandez, Faith L. Gobel, Victoria A. Gobel, and one grandson, Ryan Lee Hernandez. The family requests that flowers be sent to Treviño Funeral Home. There will be a memorial service on Monday, November 14 at 3 pm at the Cadiz Baptist Church in Mineral, TX. There will be a meal provided by the church at the VFW afterwards.
