Wilder Broom

Carrollton, Georgia

Wilder Ellis Broom, the son of Ashley Akin and David Broom Jr., passed away on September 14, 2025. He was born on March 20, 2025.

Wilder had a wonderful personality; he was always smiling and had the most infectious laugh. He loved to snuggle and enjoy being rocked in his bouncy seat. As a little brother, he was the best friend to his big sister, Arabella, and his twin sister, Magnolia, who is affectionately known as “Maggie.” His family feels an unfillable void in their hearts, as they all love and miss him dearly.

In addition to his parents and sisters, Wilder is survived by his maternal grandparents, Allen and Michelle Akin; his paternal grandparents, David Broom Sr. and Lisa Broom; his uncle, Kerry Akin; and his great-grandparents, Richard Broom and Patricia Hardy and Eddie and Carolyn Akin.

Wilder was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Elaine Brown, Barry Holloway, and Carole Broom.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate little Wilder's life will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home with Pastor Anthony Puckett officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens

Messages of love and condolences may be shared with the family at www.martin-hightower.com. Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel is honored to care for Wilder and assist the family during this difficult time.
