Vestine Gaines Obituary (1956 - 2025)

Vestine Gaines was born December 18, 1956, to the late Roosevelt and Curly Mae Gaines. She departed this life on February 3, 2025. Vestine was educated in the Glassboro school system. After graduating high school, she had various jobs such as Del Monte Corporation, Struthers and Dunn, Pennant Foods, and Metrologic. In her younger years, Vestine had a strong love for dancing. Over the years she has won several trophies in various dance competitions. Vestine had a great love for music. Her favorite bands were Earth Wind and Fire and Parliament Funkadelic. Vestine loved spending time with her family. Vestine also studied under the faith of Jehovah Witnesses. She is predeceased by 11 siblings: John Henry, Doris, Benny, Winston, Pamela, Valerie, Rose, Idella, Lorenzo, Lonnie, and Valerie. She leaves to cherish in her memory two sons: Warees Gaines of Glassboro, NJ and Nyles Gaines of Glassboro, NJ; two sisters, Diane Gunther of Camden, NJ and Carol Gaines of Glassboro, NJ; two sisters-in-law, Rachel Johnson of Camden, NJ and Geneva Gaines of Glassboro, NJ.; two best friends, Tina Hinton of Glassboro, NJ and Jackie Council of Camden, NJ and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
