Tommy Moody, known affectionately to many as Tom, Tom Tom, Thomas, Baby Boy, or Fluffy Butt, has left us in body, but never in spirit. In the words of Anatole France, “Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened.” Tommy was not just a pet; he was a beloved member of our family, a loyal companion, and a constant source of joy and comfort. Tommy was a sun-loving, bird-watching, belly-rub-loving cat whose unique qualities made him a constant source of delight. Born in Ogden, UT and later settling into his beloved Present House, Tommy made every place his home. His favourite pastimes were varied, and each reflected his compassionate nature. He relished the simplicity of sunbathing, the tranquillity of bird watching, and his treasured Fort Time. He had an affinity for getting ready with mom in the mornings, a testament to his reliable and loving nature. Tommy’s favourite place was the Mouse House, a testament to his playful and curious spirit. However, what mattered most to Tommy were his snuggles, sunshine, and kisses. Tommy leaves behind a family whose lives he touched in countless ways. He is survived by his family member, Billy Moody, his mom, Jamie, his sister, Taylee, and his brother, Taylor. Each of them will cherish their unique memories of Tommy, from his gentle purr to his soft fur, and his loving gazes. It is indeed a profound truth that “pets are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.” Tommy’s absence is deeply felt, yet his presence is still very much a part of our lives.
