Tim Walker

George Timothy “Tim” Walker, 65, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. He was born on October 2, 1959, the son of Linda Pate Walker and the late George Walker.

Tim dedicated over 40 years to working as a maintenance clerk at Southwire, where he became a well-known and respected figure among his colleagues.

A passionate sports enthusiast, Tim was particularly devoted to Georgia sports. He proudly cheered for the University of Georgia Bulldogs, rarely missing a game. His loyalty extended to the Atlanta Falcons and the Atlanta Braves, where he followed their seasons closely and celebrated their victories with unwavering enthusiasm.

Beyond his love for spectator sports, Tim also enjoyed playing disc golf, often spending weekends on the course with friends and family. His appreciation for the game and the outdoors allowed him to connect with others while enjoying his favorite pastime.

In addition to his father, Tim was preceded in death by his daughter, Bethany Dawn Walker.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his mother, Linda Walker; son, Aaron Cody Walker; daughter and son-in-law, Chasity and Anthony Cantafio; brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry and Mary Walker, Ricky and Deirdre Walker, and Christopher Walker; sister and brother-in-law, Christie and Paul Williams; and grandson, James Walker.

A funeral service will honor and celebrate Tim’s life on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home, with Bro. Michael White officiating. Interment will follow in Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
