Mr Thomas Carroll Christopher Jr. Obituary (1934

West Point- Mr. Thomas Carroll Christopher, Jr. was born August 20, 1934 in Pheba to the late Thomas Carroll Christopher Sr and Rubie Robinson Christopher and resided in West Point. He died Sunday January 17, 2016 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was a member of First Baptist Church in West Point where he was a deacon and he retired from Bryan Foods after 39 years as the vice president of manufacturing. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lynn Christopher. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday January 19, 2016, at First Baptist Church in West Point with Reverend Dale Funderburg and Chris McClain officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Polly Christopher of West Point, a daughter, Resa McClain Vickers (Mark) of West Point, two sons, Keith Christopher (Cindy) of Cleveland, and Tim Christopher (Sheri) of Hilo, Hawaii, six grandchildren; Chris McClain (Nancy) of Birmingham, Alabama, Colby McClain (Mary Alice) of Starkville, Alex Dyess (Brian) of Houston, Texas, Kyle Christopher of Knoxville, Tn., Sophie Christopher of Hilo, Hawaii and Madeline Christopher of Hilo, Hawaii, one step grandchild, Alicia Vickers of Columbus, and four great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Chris McClain, Colby McClain, Kyle Christopher, Brian Dyess, Chuck Brister, Jimmy Terry, Stanley Sisk and Tom Christopher. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ed Lyon, James Whitmire, Rock Redmond and Tim Fowlers Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Post Office Box 1818, Memphis, TN 38101. Visitation will be Monday 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Calvert Funeral Home and Tuesday 10:00-11:00 AM at First Baptist Church.
