Rudeen Lynch Turner, a cherished wife, devoted mother, and beloved grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on January 29, 1940, in Lula, Georgia, Rudeen lived a life defined by warmth, kindness, and a genuine love for the people around her.
For 54 years, Rudeen shared her life with her husband, Thomas C. Turner. Their life together was marked by love, laughter, mutual respect, and the grace to apologize when needed. They enjoyed many adventures together, especially tournament bowling and fishing. Rudeen took pride in one memorable moment, catching the biggest fish at the Guys and Dolls Tournament, a story she loved to tell.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures. One of her greatest indulgences was chocolate, especially a good Hershey’s bar! Whether spending time with family, sharing stories, or enjoying a small treat, Rudeen embraced life with a grateful heart.
Rudeen was also a dedicated and hardworking professional. She began her career with Southern Bell, where she spent many years, and later served as a supervisor at Personnel Services Inc. In every role she held, she was known for her strong work ethic, reliability, and natural leadership, qualities that carried over into her family life as well.
Rudeen is survived by her loving husband, Thomas; her children, Ronnie Turner, Clint Martin, Jan Waddle, Sheri Barron, Larry Hudson, and Tommy Turner; her brother, Jerrell Lynch; and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom were a constant source of pride and joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Lynch and Hattie White Lynch; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, C.H. and Gracie Turner; her brother, Lafayett Lynch; and her sisters-in-law, Gwynn, Florine, and Laura.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home.
A graveside service will follow on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 11:00 AM at West Georgia Memorial Park, with Pastor Keith Arrington officiating.
