Mrs. Ruby N. Logan Obituary (1926

Mrs. Ruby N. Logan, 91, passed away on November 9, 2017, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Mrs. Ruby was born on September 15, 1926, in Chickasaw County the daughter of the late William Jasper and Wreno Dee Walls Logan. She was a member of the Belzoni Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star #387, where she served as Past Matron. Mrs. Ruby was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Tupelo and a former member of Calvary Baptist Church in West Point. Mrs. Ruby was a Bank Teller for Bank of Mississippi and then BancorpSouth for 20 years. Mrs. Ruby was an avid and accomplished baker that enjoyed cake decorating. While living at Traceway Retirement Community, Mrs. Ruby participated in Senior Olympics competing in Shuffle Board , where she won the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medals. She had a "green thumb" and enjoyed flower gardening. Mrs. Ruby married Roy Winston Logan in August 22, 1951, in Monroe County and he preceded her in death on January 29, 2005. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a Sister, Armogene Nolan Gregg and Four Brothers: B.A., Howard, Hollis, and Malvon "Mack" Nolan. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 2:00 P.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Roy Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Center Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Hamilton. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include One Daughter, Diane Savage (Ricky) of Swansea, IL, Two Grandchildren; Rich Ouart (Alison) of Pocahontas, IL and Holley Ouart of Swansea, IL: Four Great-Grandchildren; Kody and Grace Ouart of Edwardsville, IL and Tyler and Tanner Ouart of Pocahontas, IL: Three Step-Grandsons: Paul Savage (Tori) of Niota, IL, Ryan Savage (Carrie) of Bushnell, IL, and Alan Savage (Colleen) of Ruston, LA: and Four Step Great-Grandchildren: Lori and Evan Savage of Niota, IL and Ember and Ryker Logan Savage of Bushnell, IL. Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Calvary Baptist Church of West Point. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of her friends at Traceway Retirement Community and her friends made over the state where she has lived.
