Mrs. Rose Ella "Sis" Lubbers Obituary (1932

Rose Ella “Sis” Lubbers, 85, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017, at her home in Booneville. She was born in Booneville on January 8, 1932, to Baxter and Hattie Downs Reece. Rose spent her life dedicated to her family above all things. She enjoyed watching the beautiful array of birds feeding as she had her morning coffee. Her love for roses gave her joy and happiness. She would tend to them and care for them every day. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at 1:00 P.M. at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Larry Hill officiating and Bro. Billy Brasel assisting. Burial will be in Cain’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. She is survived by her husband, Ralph Lubbers, whom she married on December 6, 1980; two daughters, Darnell Casteel of Booneville, and Darlene Gann (Dwight) of Southaven; her sister, Dottie Leonewitz of Horn Lake; her brother, Orvil Nichols (Nell) of Lewisburg, TN; grandchildren, Jeffery Casteel, Jennifer Casteel, Rebecca Parent, Kevin Gann; great-grandchildren, Joseph Casteel, Christina Casteel, Rylee Parent, and Nick Vedder; five children from marriage, Brenda Larsen, Hiedi King (Rich), Butch Lubbers (Luana), Rick Lubbers (Ruth Ann), Kenneth Lubbers (Leslie), with ten grandchildren and four great-grands. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Thomas Reece, Johnny Nichols; sisters, Betty Bryant and Diane Brasel. Pallbearers will be Pete Parent, Kevin Gann and Jeff Casteel, Butch Lubbers, Rick Lubbers, and Kenneth Lubbers.
