Robert Houston Colbath Obituary (1933

Robert Houston Colbath, age 79, a native of the Texas Hill Country passed away at his home on Thursday, December 20, 2012. Born in Ingram, Texas, on August 31, 1933, he was the son of Roger Colbath and Alice Mae Alderman Colbath. A Veteran of the U. S. Navy serving during the Korean War, he served on the USS Arikara Aft 98. He participated in the Hydrogen Bomb testing in 1952. A heavy equipment operator, he helped construct the Canyon Dam, as well as many other projects. Preceded in death by his parents, son, Michael Colbath, and 2 sisters, Mr. Colbath is survived by his daughter, Sonya Kay Baker; grandchildren, Stephen Baker, Sheldon Baker, Kassie Baker, and April Colbath Spoor; great granddaughters, Katelynn Simpcannon and Peyton Baker; sisters, Dorothy McCauley, Patricia Carson, and Lillian Banks. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 2:45 p.m. at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
