Evangelist Rhonda Susan Johnson Lee Obituary (1951

Evangelist Rhonda Johnson Lee, 62, Michigan City, was called home on October 20, 2013 at Golden Living Center of Merrillville, Indiana. Funeral services will be 12p.m., Friday, at Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church with Rev. David Swarn officiating, burial to follow at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens Cemetery, visitation 11a.m., until the time of service at the church. Mrs. Lee was born on July 19, 1951 in Gary, Indiana to the late James Richard Johnson and Margaret Johnson. On August 18, 1973 in Gary, Indiana she married Willie Miles Lee. She was the Executive Director for six years of the Minority Health Coalition of LaPorte County. Mrs. Lee was a faithful servant of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church until her health began to fail. Her passions were service of the community through education, mental health, nutrition, and environmental safety awareness for all people in need. Her hobbies were reading, short pleasure walks in nature, and gardening. Mrs. Lee leaves to cherish her memories, husband, Willie Miles Lee, Michigan City, IN; three children TaNaisha J. Lee, Chicago, IL, Amon M. Lee and Javan T. Lee both of Michigan City, IN; one sister and best friend, Janice (Jerry) Habersham, Macon, GA; three brothers Cleveland (Bobbie) Johnson, Gary, IN, Wendell Johnson, San Diego, CA and Richard T. (Vanessa) Johnson, Portage, IN; three grandchildren Parker Jamal Lee, Town of Pines, IN, Antone Miles Lee and Londyn Dyanna Lee both of Michigan City, IN; aunts Lillie Pearl Banks, Tampa, FL, Gertrude DeLoach and Lillian (William) Fuller both of Gary, IN and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
