Randy Reyes

–

Santa Clara, California

Randy “Raul” Reyes, a devoted husband, loving father, caring brother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on March 20th, 2026, at the age of 67. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, faith, and unwavering love for his family.
Born in the Philippines to Francisca Agustin and Augusto Reyes, Randy grew up alongside his six siblings—Wilfredo, Renato, Rosario (deceased), Rojer, Anthony, and Anna Lissa—where he learned the values of resilience, dedication, and compassion that guided him throughout his life.
In 1978, Randy immigrated to Stockton, California, to work alongside his father as a farmworker. Through perseverance and determination, he eventually settled in San Jose, California, building a successful career in various technology companies. His journey also took him to Hawaii before returning to California, where he made his home.
Randy was blessed with three children from a previous marriage—Rick Ariel, Rodney Boy, and Roselle—all of whom proudly serve in the United States Air Force. In 2001, he married the love of his life, Ana Rita Reyes. Together, they built a loving family and were blessed with two sons, Joseph and Jericho.
A devoted father, Randy’s love and care knew no bounds. After Joseph was diagnosed with autism, Randy selflessly left his career as a merchant marine to care for him full-time. His commitment to family extended through Jericho, who continues Randy’s legacy of service as a member of the United States National Guard (Army) while pursuing a nursing degree at San Jose State University.
Randy’s professional life was as diverse as it was dedicated. He worked as a farmworker, merchant marine, electronics industry professional, nutrition services and janitorial staff for the East Side Union School District, and as a security officer with Orion. Above all, he took immense pride in being a caregiver to his son. Known for his integrity, humility, and generosity, Randy was always willing to help others without hesitation.
Outside of work, Randy cherished traveling with Ana Rita and their sons, especially to the beaches of Santa Cruz, Monterey, Capitola, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Reno, Nevada. He was a faithful member of the Catholic Church, attending services regularly in the Diocese of San Jose. Music brought him great joy, and he loved listening and singing. In June 2011, he was honored as one of San Jose’s “Top Dads,” a recognition of his unwavering devotion to his family, particularly his dedication to his child with special needs.
Randy will be remembered for his strength, kindness, faith, and the profound love he gave to his family. His legacy lives on through his children and all who were fortunate to know him.
