Paul Richard Freeman Obituary (1956 - 2021)

Paul Richard Freeman, 65, of Boerne, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2021. His memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Holt & Holt Funeral Home in Boerne. Paul Freeman was born on February 29, 1956 in San Bernardino, CA to parents Warren and Betty Freeman. He spent most of his earlier years growing up in California where he graduated from San Bernardino High School and later went on to attend The University of Redlands. While he was at Redlands, he participated in the Pi Chi Fraternity, met his future wife Karen, and earned a degree in Geology. He moved to Texas, where he would live the remainder of his life raising his family, which included his two daughters, and spending time with his four grandchildren. He was an avid angler and hunter, even beginning to learn the art of fly fishing to teach him patience. He had an eclectic taste in music and a tremendous green thumb. He loved to travel, and had a special place in his heart for Tahiti, the Sierra Nevada mountains, and Big Bend National Park. He is survived by his daughter Kristina, her husband Morgan, and their children Leif and Luke; his daughter Kimberly, her husband Chris, and their children William and Lincoln; and his brother Jef and his wife Jean. He was preceded in death by his wife Karen and his parents Warren and Betty. Instead of floral remembrances, the family suggests that donations can be made to Big Bend Conservancy to honor Paul Freeman's memory.
