Orthus Lewis Obituary (1987

Orthus "Buddy" Lewis, age 16, a Junior at Boerne High School, passed away after a long illness on Sunday, January 11, 2004. Born in San Antonio, TX on March 9, 1987, he is the son of Orthus K. "Skip" Lewis, III and Teresa Cotter Lewis. Buddy had been a wide receiver and free safety with the Boerne Greyhounds. In addition to his parents, Buddy is survived by his Paternal Grandparents, O. K. and Patricia Lewis, Jr.; Maternal Grandparents, Edward and Pilar Cotter; Step Mother, Jennifer Fuhrman; Brothers, Timothy Lewis and his wife, Natalie, and Lance Lewis; Sister, Olivia Kay Lewis; Numerous uncles, cousins, and other relatives. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 14 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Vaughan's Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, January 15 at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church, with Pastor Mike Meadows, Officiating. Burial will follow in the Boerne Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Memorials be made to the Christus Santa Rosa Children's Hospital Foundation, 343 W. Houston St., Suite 505, San Antonio, TX 78205.
