Nyree Vidro Obituary (1975 - 2025) - Gloucester Township, New Jersey

Nyree Shearon Lynn Noel-Vidro was born in Cherry Hill, NJ. She came bursting into the world in January of 1975. She was the first child born to Michele Ingram and Norris Donnie Noel Jr. (preceded in death). After a long and hard-fought battle with illness, Nyree passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 7, 2025. Nyree was full of life and brought an unsurpassing amount of joy to the family. She learned to walk at an early age. When she was 18 months, she told her mother that she didn’t need any help with doing various tasks. Ny excelled at any and everything she put her mind to. Nyree was educated in the parochial and public-school systems in Camden, NJ. She was a straight-A student her entire academic career. She was featured in the Who’s Who books of junior high, high school, and college. She was inducted into the National Honor Society in 1991 and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School with honors in 1993, ranking number 6 in her class. She went on to graduate from William Paterson University in 1998, receiving a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. She was a proud member of the Alpha Angels, a historical auxiliary organization originally established to support the men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Through her involvement, she demonstrated a strong commitment to service, sisterhood, and uplifting her community. In 2009, she obtained her master’s degree from the University of Phoenix in Special Education. She began her teaching career at the Yale School for Autistic Children. She worked there from 2001 until 2003, when she decided to join the Camden City Board of Education as a Special Education teacher. She remained with the CCBOE for 20 years as a devoted Special Ed teacher. While at the Yale School, Nyree met Angel Vidro. It was love at first sight. From going on road trips, trying new restaurants, attending sporting events, or even spending a quiet night at home watching TV shows, movies, listening to music, or sipping and playing Scrabble—those two loved enjoying each other’s company. Along with being a devoted wife, Nyree was a dedicated sports mom. Over the years, she participated with the Winslow Township Recreation League Basketball, Maulers Youth Football and Cheerleading, and Camden Catholic High School’s football and basketball programs. She was either busy yelling at the refs from the stands, at the scorer’s table keeping the books, or simply cheering the team. Nyree’s passion was unmatched. She was preceded in death by her sister Ceceli Rashida (Nubi) Jones, Grandparents Louise and William (Poppy) Reeves, Verdell and Norris Noel Sr, and Grandfather Edwin E. Ingram. Nyree leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband, Angel; three children: Nygel, Nelson, and Aniyah; her beloved mother Michele “Shelley” Ingram; A stepfather: Dennis Jones Sr., a brother: Dennis Jones Jr.; a sister: Shawntique Saunders; uncles: Barry Roberts, Edwin Ingram (Aline), Michael Ingram (Yiana) and Troy Hood (Tamika); Aunts: Sharon Miller and Penny King: father- and mother-in-law: Angel Sr. and Balbina Vidro; brothers-in-law: Waldo Vidro (Ijakilah) and Omar Vidro (Gabriella); god-sister: Michele Chatman; special cousin: “Sunny”; and a host of godchildren, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
