Mrs. Newman Moseley Obituary (1923

Mickey Newman Moseley, 90, passed away, on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Dugan Memorial Home, in West Point. Mickey was born October 15, 1923 in Utica, Mississippi to the late Ruby Pearl Hennington and George Dewey Newman, Sr. She taught High School English at Montpelier High School for 1 year, then worked 29 years with Clay County Welfare Department in Human Resources. Mrs. Moseley was a member of First Christian Church of West Point. She married Bennie Dexter Moseley in 1945 at Montpelier, Mississippi he preceded her in death January 3, 1981. Graveside funeral services will be Tuesday, February 4, 2014, 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Ed Newman officiating. Burial will follow in Utica Cemetery at Utica, Mississippi. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include three brothers, George D. Newman, Jr. of Covington, TN, Charles Newman (Laney) of Ethel, Sam Newman (Debbie) of Florence; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brother Robert Thomas Newman. Memorials may be made to donor's choice. Visitation will be at the cemetery Tuesday, 12:45 p.m until service time.
