Nettie Louise "Gus" Mayo Obituary (1925

Nettie Louise “Gus” Mayo, 97, passed away Friday, May 26, 2023. She was born June 3, 1925, in Prentiss County, to Samuel Allen Graham and Francis Elizabeth Hatfield Graham. Gus loved gardening, embroidering, sewing and telling old stories. Visitation will be Monday, May 29, 2023, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Booneville Funeral Home. Services will be at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Booneville Funeral Home. Bro. Jared Rhodes will be officiating. Burial will be in the Blackland Cemetery. Booneville Funeral Home is assisting the family. She is survived by her three daughters, Donna Murphy and Jan Chism both of Corinth, MS, Lana Henson (Brian) of Holly Springs, MS; sister, Barbara Vandevander of Booneville, MS; grandchildren, Kevin Layne McCoy (Amy), Charles Dustin Chism, Mikayla Elizabeth Jacobs (Ben); great-grandchildren, James Dayton McCoy (Cassie), Ethan Tyler McCoy (Kayla), Alaynea Shelby Mize (Layne), Hayden Foxx McCoy (Geana), Paden Chandler Chism, Chloe Grace Chism, Sadie Raye McCoy; great-great-grandchildren, Jakob Gene McCoy, Emma Layne McCoy, Madeleine Renee McCoy, Leo Waylon McCoy and Vivian Kay Mize. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vaudry Dayton Mayo; her parents; two sisters, Avis “Dude” White and Ena “Sally” Davis; and brother, David “Dag” Graham.
