Michael Mausolf

Michael Robert Mausolf, born on September 19, 1956, in Ypsilanti, MI, passed away on June 17, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and hard work. A true embodiment of the adage, "The only way to do great work is to love what you do," Michael's passion for his career in the automotive industry was only surpassed by the love he had for his family and friends.

Michael spent the majority of his working years as an assembly and high low driver at GM Truck and Bus, where he dedicated himself to perfecting his craft. His unwavering commitment to his work was evident to all who knew him. Having retired from a fulfilling career, Michael settled in Clarkston, Michigan, with his beloved wife, Deborah Mausolf. The two shared a love that transcended time, as they built a life together that was filled with joy, adventure, and happiness. As author J.M. Barrie once said, "The best of our memories are the ones we make together," and Michael lived this truth fully.

Michael is survived by his wife, Deborah; father, Gerald Mausolf; and mother, Joy Moehlman. Each of them, along with the countless others who knew and loved him, will carry the memories of Michael's kindness, humor, and unwavering dedication in their hearts. "To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die," wrote Thomas Campbell, and Michael's spirit will live on through the cherished memories shared by his loved ones.
