Matthew Haynes

Carrollton, Georgia

Matthew Haynes, born July 17, 2000, in Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on February 2, 2026, leaving behind a family and community who will forever feel the absence of his steady presence and generous heart. Though his time was far too short, Matthew lived his years with purpose, loyalty, and a deep devotion to the people he loved most.

Raised in Carrollton, Matthew attended Villa Rica High School and quickly became known for his easygoing personality and his ability to connect with others. He was a dependable worker who took pride in providing for his family, spending five years with Southern Protection Agency before recently joining HD Traffic Solutions, where he worked as a site supervisor. Whether on a job site or among friends, Matthew was someone others trusted, someone who showed up, worked hard, and treated people with respect.

On October 13, 2023, Matthew married the love of his life, Meleah, beginning the chapter he treasured most. The birth of their daughter, Daisey-Lynn, brought him joy that shaped everything he did. He loved being a husband and father, and those closest to him knew that his greatest goal was simply to build a good life for his family. Much of his happiest time was spent at home with Meleah and Daisey-Lynn, laughing, planning for the future, and enjoying the everyday moments that meant the most to him.

Matthew also enjoyed riding motorcycles, finding both freedom and peace on the open road, and he rarely missed an opportunity to spend time with friends and family. His humor, warm smile, and genuine kindness made people feel comfortable around him, and he had a way of turning ordinary gatherings into lasting memories.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Meleah Haynes; his beloved daughter, Daisey-Lynn Cooper Haynes; his father, Adam Brian Haynes; his mother, Melissa Ann Roberts Drever; his brothers, Austin Lee Haynes, Adam “Brian” Haynes Jr., and Kippy Scott Copland; his sister, Hannah Mae Drever; and his aunts and uncles, Sibyl Newsom, Samantha Henderson, and Alan Haynes, along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

Matthew was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jerry Haynes; paternal grandmother, Daisy Haynes; aunt, Mutt Haynes; and uncle, Twon Haynes.

The family will receive friends on February 12, 2026, at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Garden. Adam Haynes, Brian Haynes, JD Brown, Cameron Buckley, Jonathan Talley, Kalem Mobley, and Hunter Learn will serve as pallbearers.

Matthew will be remembered as a loving husband, a proud father, a devoted son and brother, and a loyal friend, someone whose greatest happiness came from caring for the people around him. Though his life was brief, the love he gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Messages of condolence may be shared with the family at www.martin-hightower.com. Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Haynes family.
