Mary Hellen Martin (nee Young) daughter of Sallie and Goldberg Young who preceded her in death passed Friday, December 25, 2020. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio March 9, 1932. She attended Cleveland State University before seeking and attaining a nurse’s degree. Mary (Hellen) found Jesus at an early age. She sang in the church choir. She met and married Eugene Herron (deceased) from that union came daughter Terri (Diane). Later in her life she met and married John Martin from that union a son John (Johnny) was born. Mary was an avid seamstress. Often making clothes for family and friends. She was always busy. Aside from sewing, she knitted and crocheted. She was also a notary public and a tax preparer. She leaves to mourn her a daughter Terri (Diane) and a son John; three grandchildren, Lariel Bell, Leah Martin, and Josiah Martin of Charlotte, NC. With a host of friends. Also, cousins Marcus Powell II of Decatur, GA, Cedric Powell of Louisville, KY, LaBatha Abercrombie of Chicago, IL, Archie Venable of Stone Mt., GA, Teresa and Derwin Turner of Akron, OH.
