In Loving Memory of Linda Jean Jones It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Jones, a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many. She left this world on October 11, 2023 in her home, surrounded by her family, at the age of 64, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and cherished memories. Linda was a devoted mother and grandmother, who found her greatest joy in the presence of her children and grandchildren. Her unwavering love and support were a constant source of strength for her family. Her legacy lives on through her five children, Jason, Kimberly, Travis, Kami, and Ryan, and her 8 grandchildren. Mitch, her beloved son who passed away 8 years ago, remained forever in her heart and is now accompanying Linda as she reunites with her mom and dad, grandparents, and legions of angels. A true force of nature, Linda embraced life with an adventurous passion that was infectious. She embarked on thrilling adventures with her family throughout her life. She loved water skiing, boating, camping, snow skiing, hiking, and mountain biking. Her enthusiasm for adventure and exploration was matched only by her zest for teaching. Linda had a fulfilling career as a successful English teacher, inspiring countless young minds throughout her years of service. Her dedication to education left an indelible mark on her students. Always treating her students with kindness, she instilled in them a love for literature that will endure for generations. Perhaps the most remarkable aspect of Linda's life was her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. Her belief was a guiding light that she held close from the beginning to the end of her earthly journey. It brought her solace, strength, and a sense of purpose that she shared with everyone around her. In her 42 years of marriage, Linda and her devoted spouse, Barry, built a life together that was a testament to enduring love. Their partnership was marked by mutual support, shared dreams, and a deep, unbreakable bond. As we say our goodbyes, let us remember Linda not for her passing, but for the vibrant and inspiring life she led. She leaves a legacy of love, faith, and adventure that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know her. Services to honor Linda's life will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of LDS 80 Center St Enterprise, UT 84725. A viewing will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. On Monday, October 16, 2023, a viewing will be held from 11:00am to 12:30pm and the celebration of Linda’s life will be at 1:00pm. May Linda be surrounded by the eternal love of her Creator, reunited with her son Mitch, and may she be forever held in the hearts of those she touched.

Linda's Friend

I worked with Linda at Sand Ridge. She and I laughed a lot, and we would force ourselves to leave school as soon as we could to cross-country ski up Wheeler Creek Canyon or hike to the top of Mt. Ogden. One of my favorite adventures with her was hiking The Subway. She was my dear teaching buddy and school friend. I am so sad to learn of her passing.
