Julius Lee Kent Sr. was called home by the Lord on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Franciscan St. Anthony Hospice Center of Michigan City, Indiana. Funeral services will be 11:00am, Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Faith City Assembly Church 1314 South Woodland Avenue, Michigan City, Indiana with Elder Dwayne Hurt, officiating. Burial to follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens Cemetery with military honors. The visitation will be 9:00am Thursday at the church until the time of service. Julius Lee Kent Sr. was born December 31, 1945 in Charleston, Missouri to the late Robert Henry Kent Sr. and Clara Lucille (Hurt) Walker. On April 3, 2003, he married the love of his life, Christine Calhoun. After obtaining his GED, he enlisted in the United States Army and served in Vietnam and received an Honorable Discharge. In 2001, he retired from NIPSCO as a gas line technician. Julius enjoyed reading books and watching sports.
