Jarvis J. Johnson Obituary (1989

Jarvis J. Johnson was born to Debbie Hull-Johnson and Jerome Johnson in Michigan City, Indiana on November 17, 1989. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 11:00 am Pleasant Hill M. B. Church 717 East 10th Street, Michigan City, IN and the viewing will be 10:00 am until the time of service. Jarvis accepted Christ at the age of eight. It was a joyous day as he was baptized at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He sung in the choir and was a member of the Michigan City Soul Steppers. On June 8, 2008 Jarvis graduated from Michigan City High School and he also attended Kaplan College in Merrillville, Indiana Jarvis was employed at Taco Bell Restaurant for two years and Speed Way Gas Station. Jarvis enjoyed playing basketball, football and spending time with his family and friends. Jarvis, affectionately known as YAR, was a vibrant and enthusiastic person with love for all people and he was loved by everyone whose life's he touched and he will be truly missed by all. He transitioned from time to eternity on Monday, December 28, 2009 at Westview University Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Katherine Goodwin, one aunt Lavenica L. Aldridge, one cousin Brandy Mitchell and god mother Carolyn Duncan.
