Jacqueline Mayes-Davis, 76, beautifully known as “Jackie” was born January 5th 1948, Cleveland, Ohio to the late Sammie Lee Mayes and Dorothy Mull Mayes (living). She was the 1st child out of 7. Jackie attended Cleveland Public Schools and attended Tri-C Community College. She retired with Cleveland Public Schools. Jackie was loved by everyone she shared her presence with. She was very passionate with giving and sharing with her family and close friends. She had a beautiful singing voice and always remembered everyone’s birthday and always sang a very special Happy Birthday to you on your birthday. Jackie loved being in the kitchen cooking for loved ones no matter the time of day. Her love for her Son was like no other - Beyond Eternity and back. Jackie was preceded in death by her father, Sammie Lee Mayes, one brother, James Mayes and three sisters, Gwendolyn Penny, Schyvonne Mayes and Zivvion Talley. We will dearly miss the amazing presence of Jackie. We rejoice because we know Jackie is resting in peace in Gods hands where she has found eternal rest with the Lord on November 7th 2024 from the comfort of her home. She leaves to cherish her memories with her loving son Steven “Stevie” Davis, her mother Dorothy Mull Mayes, her two grandchildren Steven “Tank” Davis and Shonee’ Davis, her two sisters Valeria Oliver and Quartese Mayes, special friend and sister Linda Armstead, two great grandchildren Semaj Crawford and Aria Davis, Her sons special friend LaShawn Hopson, nine nieces, six nephews, close cousins that were more like siblings and special Aunt Bert Brooks and many other relatives and friends
