Gaye Sias Obituary (1944 - 2024) - Baxter Springs, Kansas

Gaye M’lle Sias was called to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, April 5th at 3:14 pm in Joplin, Missouri. She was surrounded lovingly by her family, including all of her grandkids and great-grandkids. As one of the strongest people, Gaye worked hard for every single thing she had and gave to many. Giving to others, especially her grandchildren, was part of her nature. Over almost 3 decades of raising children, she often made personal sacrifices to make sure her grandchildren were well taken care of, and she was very involved in their educations and activities. They were her world, and she was always there for them no matter what. Her dedicated work ethic, stubbornness, and personal strength will live on in them and be passed on to her great-grandchildren. Gaye was born to Wilburn Jones and Helen Hibler Jones on September 15, 1944, in Lowell, KS. Her parents and her brothers Marion John Jones and Ray Lee Jones preceded her in death. She graduated from Riverton High School in 1962. She lived in this area her entire life. She successfully owned her own house cleaning business for 45 years before retiring due to health issues. Gaye always tried to go above and beyond in her job and was loyal to all of her families. Those left to mourn her are her daughter Lori Sias and grandchildren: Taegen Curry, Terron Allen, and Taylor Brewer as well as her great-grandchildren: Paisley Curry, Tayden Allen, and Treyson Tygart. She was much more than a grandmother and touched so many lives. She will be greatly missed and always cherished in our hearts. There will be a celebration of her life held on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at the Johnson Public Library in Baxter Springs, Kansas, at 3:00 pm.
