Fredric Allman Obituary (1940 - 2024)

Fredric Michael “Mike” Allman, 84, of Weston, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Country Living of Jane Lew under the compassionate care of Sherry Sellers. He also had a stay at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital 2nd Floor where the kindness and compassion he received can never be matched and for that Mike’s family is truly grateful. Mike was born in Weston on January 14, 1940, to the late Ellen Corder Allman and Clyde B. Allman I. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his only son, Fredric Michael “Fred” Allman; and one brother, Clyde B. Allman Jr. On November 11, 1967, he was united in marriage with the love of his life, Martha “Rosalie” Ayers Allman of Weston who survives. Together Mike and Rosalie had five children; four children survive, Anne Jett and husband, Joe, of Lost Creek, Terri Willis and husband, Terry, of Grafton, Nancy Lipps and husband, Jason, of Weston, and Merrile Allman and significant other, Sergio Perlera, of Bridgeport. Mike is also survived by fourteen grandchildren: Jonathan Jett and wife, Chelsea, Miranda Ford and husband, Austin, Stacy Groves and husband, Josh, Kayla Vincent and husband, Tyler, James “Jay” Terhardt, Hunter, Tyson, and Kyrston Lipps, Mahaliegh Mearns, Stephanie McCullough and significant other, Rob, and Nicholas, Juliette, Gabriella, and Noah Perlera; twelve great-grandchildren: Jeremy, Adalyn, Aria and Ryan Jett, Josephine “JoJo” Ford, Isabella, Abigail, Poppy, Daphne, and Harrison Vincent, and Bowen and Caelum Groves; brother, Roger Allman and wife, LeAnn, of Columbus, OH; sister, Carolyn Peterson; special best friend, his Katie-Girl who will miss all the snacks they shared; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mike was a graduate of Weston High School, class of 1958. He was a sports enthusiast and loved the West Virginia Mountaineers, New York Yankees, and Boston Celtics. He was a coach and mentor for many years with Lewis Co. Little League Baseball, Lewis County Youth League Basketball, and Babe Ruth Baseball in Lewis County. He owned and operated Weston News Inc in Weston for many years. Mike’s request for Cremation has been honored at Pat Boyle Funeral Home’s On-Site Crematory. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Family and friends will gather at Pat. Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service located at 144 Hackers Creek Rd. in Jane Lew from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2024.
