Farah Bellande Obituary (1989 - 2024)

Farah Bellande Nov. 28, 1989 ~ Nov. 22, 2024 Farah Bellande, age 34, of Ewing, NJ, by way of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, passed away on November 22, 2024 in Amman, Jordan. Farah was born on November 28, 1989 to Josseline Michaud and Predius Bellande in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. From a young age, Farah was a creative, so she attended Mercer County Community College’s vocational program for theatrical arts, from which Farah played leading roles in works such as A Raisin in the Sun. Farah’s love of theatre and the arts expanded into adulthood. She loved musicals, sometimes freelanced as a make-up artist, and found it cathartic to write poetry in her private time. Farah loved living her life joyously and getting to know people; these qualities are some of the many reasons for Farah’s magnetic energy. Often, she would tell anecdotes about having thirty, plus minute conversations with strangers at everyday locations such as the lobby of someone else’s apartment building. The conversations were about topics such as the stranger’s journey to law school, which Farah had hoped to one-day attend to become an immigration lawyer, and they would exchange contact information to continue communication. In hindsight, her genuine interest in other people’s stories and inquisitive nature puts her love of travel into context; she loved meeting new people and learning about their cultures and national histories. Farah enjoyed living life in a way that was abundant, which provides some comfort after her passing. Farah made some lasting friendships via her travels. Ultimately, Farah wished to travel to as many countries as possible. She experienced adventures in countries such as Belgium, Canada, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, England, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Morrocco, Netherlands, Portugal, and Turkey. Farah also wanted to have a positive impact on society. Farah graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration. Her volunteer work included roles at the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement and at Women’s Space. Additionally, it would be important to Farah to mention that within the past year and a half, she found who she often referred to as “her person” and “the love of her life” in Stanley Abraham. They discussed their plans with loved ones to become engaged within the next year and eventually marry and have children. Farah and Stanley made each other incredibly happy. Stanley along with Farah’s extended family and community of loved ones have come together during this time to celebrate Farah’s memory and provide emotional support to Farah’s mother, Josseline Michaud, and immediate family. Farah is survived by her mother, Josseline Michaud, aunt, Bernadette Michaud, partner, Stanley Abraham, and nieces and nephews, Bella Lane, Aiden Lane, and Mateo Vasquez, and a community of extended family and loved ones.
