Donald A. Stemper, age 85, of Las Vegas, formerly of St. Anna, died on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Caring Hands Assisted Living Facility in New Holstein. He was born December 25, 1936 in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, son of the late Cyril & Elizabeth (Flath) Stemper.\n\nWhile in Wisconsin, Donald served the the National Guard. He began working in construction for various companies which took him to Las Vegas where he laid down roots and called it ‘home’. \n\nHe was a man of few words and a laid back persona that will be missed by all those who loved him.\n\nSurvivors include his siblings: Lorelie Nennig, Joyce (Romy) Drake, Carol Puetz, Lloyd (Sandra) Stemper, Elaine Ramirez & Dianne (Clayton) Pethan. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.\n\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law: Norman Nennig, David Puetz, David Ramirez; and 2 nephews: Bob Puetz and Gary Puetz.\n\nFuneral service will be at 11:30 am on Friday, September 16, 2022 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 11:30 am on Friday, September 16, 2022.\n\nDonny's family would like to thank the entire staff at Caring Hands Assisted Living, as well as everyone with Calumet County Homecare and Hospice for all of the loving care that was given to both him and his family.
