Mr. Donald "Bullet" Roy Davis Obituary (1947

Donald "Bullet" Roy Davis, 69, passed away, on July 24, 2016 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born June 4, 1947 in Sledge, MS to Lora Mae Raines Davis and Jewell Hayward Davis. Mr. Davis was a Truck Driver for Miller Transport for a number of years and then became an independent driver, and continued to drive for Miller Transport. Mr. Davis owned and operated Southern Sportsman Gun and Pawn. Mr. Davis loved animals and would often stop and feed stray animals that he saw wandering. Mr. Davis was a Baptist. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at 3:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Carl Klutts officiating, and assisted by Jonathon Hazzard. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his 2 daughters, Tabbie "T.D." Davis Hazzard (John) and Monica Davis May (Charles), both of Aberdeen; his grandson; Jonathon Hayward Hazzard (Lindsey) of West Point; his sister, Jill Davis Shurden (David) of West Point; his brother, Billy Jewell Davis (Joyce) of West Point and several Nieces and Nephews. Pallbearers will be John William Hazzard, Jonathon Hayward Hazzard, Charles Conger May, Timmy Davis, Shawn Mitchell Shurden, Carl Griffin, and Thomas Griffin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Friends at The West Point Wellness Center. Memorials may be made in his honor to The Shaw Pitbull Rescue Shelter, 158 Center Road, Columbus, MS 39702 or to West Point/Clay Clounty Animal Shelter, 1212 Old Tibbee Road, West Point, MS 39773.
