Mr. David Eric Gray Obituary (1963

Mr. David Eric Gray, 52, passed away on September 16, 2016, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA. David was born December 23, 1963, in Lynwood, CA, the son of Vernon David Gray and the late Marilyn Alvis Gray. David married Elizabeth Cummings Gray on May 21, 1999, in Pheba, MS. David was a heavy equipment operator for the City of McAlester Water Department for 25 years in McAlester, OK. After moving to Kosciusko, MS, he was a truck driver for Atwood Fence Company. David was an avid and accomplished woodcarver and was previously a member of the McAlester Woodcarving Club. He enjoyed fishing and singing. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his daughter Sara Frances Gray. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at 2:00 P.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Clifford Wooden officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery near Maben. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include His Wife Elizabeth Cummings Gray of Kosciusko; One Daughter, Brooklyn Gray of Dallas, TX; Two Sons, Trevor Gray of McAlester, OK, and Nathan Gray of Los Angeles, CA; Three Grandchildren; His Father Vernon David Gray (Susan) of McAlester, OK; One Sister, Heidi Pipes of Broken Arrow, OK, and his Mother-in-Law: Frances Cummings of Pheba. Pallbearers will be Michael Byars, Luke Pipes, Charlie Pipes, Larry Phillips, Steve White, Jim Wisdom, Jim Ryan, and Bubba Jenkins. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Stark, Patrick Brooks, Brandon Ray, Geary Edmonds, Peter Wooden, Nelson Hughes, and Frankie Poole. Memorials may be made to Providence Cemetery Care Fund, C/O Mrs. Lawanda McMullen, 4150 MS Highway 15, Maben, MS 39750. Visitation will be Monday 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home.
