We are saddened to announce the passing of Dale Anthony Johns, who left this world far too soon on August 19, 2024. Born April 21, 1968, Dale lived a dynamic life, full of laughter and love, in Burns, Tennessee. A man of many hats, Dale was known best for his charismatic nature and witty sense of humor. He had an uncanny ability to light up any room he entered; his laughter will be deeply missed. Mark Twain once said, "The secret source of humor is not joy but sorrow; there is no humor in heaven." But if there's one thing we're certain of, it's that Dale is somewhere up there right now, cracking jokes and making heaven a little bit funnier. Dale was a man of simple pleasures, enjoying hunting and fishing in the great outdoors. His passion for these activities was only rivaled by his love for cooking and grilling, his recipes often the highlight of family gatherings. His lively spirit and infectious laughter turned every meal into a celebration. He was also a passionate fan of the Tennessee Vols and Dallas Cowboys. His loyalty unwavering, Dale was always the life of the party during game nights. Perhaps the most touching testament to Dale's loyal nature was his bond with his dog, Marley, who he often playfully referred to as "one of the smartest dogs you've ever met." Their camaraderie was a sight to behold, a testament to Dale's innate kindness and genuine love for life. We encourage all who knew and loved Dale to share their memories and upload photos to his memorial page. Let us remember Dale not with sorrow, but with the same joy and laughter he brought into our lives. His spirit lives on in these shared moments, a testament to a life well-lived. Memorial Gathering: will be on Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children. Survived by: Mother: Wanda Cagle (Randal) of Dickson, TN Son: Devan Johns (Kristina) of Burns, TN Grandchildren: Addilyn, and Daxx As well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Preceded in death by: Father: Roger Johns Maternal Grandparents: Elton and Eleanor Davidson Paternal Grandparents: Roscoe and Julia Johns
