Cordell Peterson Obituary (1972 - 2021)

Cordell Kent Peterson passed away on November 7, 2021, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He leaves behind his children, Tristan and Lilly Peterson, and their mother Raquel Valdez. Cordell was a caring father who shared with his children a love of hard work, music, and Raiders Football. Cordell was born December 17, 1972, in Brigham City to the union of Jill Holmes Hopper and Kent Peterson. Following his graduation from Logan High School in 1991, he worked in the concrete industry. He felt great pride in his opportunity to work on the new Raiders stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, and took regular trips with his family to watch the team. He was excited he could attend their final game at the Oakland Coliseum. Cordell’s children were a source of pride to him, and his face always lit up when given a chance to talk about their accomplishments. Cordell had a kind heart and a willingness to help friends and family wherever he could. He was a beloved father, brother, son, uncle, nephew, and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him. Cordell is survived by his children Lilly, Tristan; their mother Raquel; his parents, Kent and Jill; siblings Jason Peterson (Heather), Cherisse Biddulph (Dan), Travis Hopper, Nick Peterson, Natalie Peterson, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Following a small family service, in accordance with his wishes, Cordell will be cremated and his remains scattered in the San Francisco Bay.
