Carolyn Kasolas

–

Santa Clara, California

Carolyn Kasolas passed away on September 30, 2026, at the age of 88, in her home in San Jose, California, surrounded by family and friends.

She was born on July 31, 1938, in Fort Collins, Colorado, alongside her twin sister, Marolyn. Her childhood adventures continued in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and later in California, where her youngest sister, Cindy, was born and where she spent most of her life.

Carolyn had many accomplishments throughout her life, including attending San Jose State University, being a longtime member of the Los Gatos Business and Professional Women’s Club, and working for many years at General Telephone, then at St. Basil Greek Orthodox Church, and finally at the Los Gatos AAA. She met her husband, George, at San Jose State, and they went on to have two children, Michael and Katherine, in Campbell. Throughout her life, Carolyn devoted herself to her children and her godson, Nick, later becoming an adoring grandmother to Rachel, Heather, and Alexander.

Beyond her many accomplishments, Carolyn taught her family and friends valuable life lessons. Above all, she exemplified unwavering love for others. She remembered every birthday and life event and always called to remind her loved ones, “I love you.” Her grandchildren can all agree that she was an exemplary role model in their lives, showing them how to live with grace, love, and kindness.

Carolyn had a generous heart that extended beyond her family to animals. She spoke fondly of all her pets, including the barn cats and piglets she tried so fiercely to befriend on her grandparents’ farm. As an adult, she continued to show her love for those in need by donating to the ASPCA and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, George; her son, Michael; her daughter, Katherine; her three grandchildren, Rachel, Heather, and Alexander; her sisters, Marolyn and Cindy; her godson, Nick; and many nieces and nephews. She is dearly missed and will be forever lovingly remembered in all our hearts.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Trisagion Service on Wednesday, October 21st, 2026, at 7pm at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 1260 Davis Street, San Jose, and/or the Funeral Service on Thursday, October 22nd at 11am. Burial will follow Los Gatos Memorial Park. May God rest her soul, and may her memory be eternal.
