Arthur L. Simpson Sr Obituary (1923

Arthur L. Simpson, Sr., 89, departed this life on June 7, 2013 at Life Care nursing home. Funeral services will be 12:00 pm, Saturday, June 15, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Lakeland 433 Dahlia Street with Rev. Howard Daniel, officiating, visitation 11:00 am at the church until the time of service. Arthur was born in Chicago, Illinois, on July 29, 1923 to the late Richard Simpson and Mary Simpson. He retired from Blocksom Co in the late 1980's. Arthur loved to barbecue and being with his family. Arthur leaves to cherish his memories, three step children Carolyn Worlds, Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Valeria Burton, Michigan City, Indiana and Donna (Pete) Browner, Indianapolis, Indiana; three children, Jacqueline Gause, Albertine Simpson and Arthur L. Simpson, Jr., all of Michigan City, Indiana; one sister Mary Slaten, Chicago, Illinois and one brother Alvin (Lois) Simpson, Chicago, Illionis; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Arthur was preceded in death by his wife Jacqueline Simpson, one son Michael Edward Simpson, one stepson Henry Miller; one siter Alma Smith and one brother Willard Simpson.
