Samantha Fawn (Ellis) Packard, age 31, of Gainesville, GA, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021 at her residence. \n\nSamantha was born October 28, 1989 in Ottumwa, Iowa. She graduated Albia High School in 2008. Samantha loved her sports and keeping active in High School. Track, Softball and Volleyball was a few of her favorites. She was on the Albia Dance Team when they won 2nd place in state. She loved being active and hanging out with her friends. She was also a member of the FFA organization. She later attended William Penn University and then transferred to Iowa State University. She worked at many jobs while attending High School and College. As of recent, she was a processing coordinator with Cargill (FIBI). She loved pets, and on occasion would assist the Humane society in walking the dogs. To know her was to love her and she will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her fur baby, Ms. Cooper; great grandparents, Carl & Julia Ellis & Herbert & Helen Bone; brother-in-law, Tyler Ruechel. \n\nSurvivors include, husband, Dayton Packard; mother and step dad, Angela & John Borella; step children, Ryleigh Bruechert, Elyza Bruechert, Addyson Packard & Charlyte Packard; step brothers, John Kevin Borella & Chad Meinsma; grandparents, Darrell & Carolyn Ellis, John & Vicki Borella & JoAnn Severance; father-in-law, Chuck (Sheila) Packard; mother-in-law, Mary Perron; aunt Nicole Moe, and family friends Darron Meinsma and Dan Ramsey.\n\nCelebration of Life Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Sinnott Funeral Home in Albia with Jason Summers officiating. Visitation will also be held on Saturday from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m., at Sinnott Funeral Home in Albia. Memorials to the family, and will be directed at a later date. Mask are required for both visitation and Celebration of Life Services.
